For those who do not qualify for LASIK, there are several LASIK alternatives that exist. Most patients who are over the age of 21 and in good heath with no other eye conditions or diseases are generally considered good candidates for LASIK.
LASIK is approved by the FDA to treat a broad range of vision problems, including nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. However, some people may not be good candidates for LASIK because of their unique visual imperfections or because of the results of a comprehensive eye examination.
