How do I Know if LASIK is Right for Me?

In general, most people with a refractive error are good candidates for LASIK surgery.

Be at least 18 years old
Be in good health
Patients must have a stable refraction
Have a sufficiently thick cornea to allow for the safe removal of tissue

When you schedule a complimentary LASIK consultation, your surgeon will assess all of these requirements before determining your candidacy!

How Does LASIK Work?

LASIK surgery works by reshaping the cornea so it can better focus images onto the retina for sharper vision. Both eyes can be treated during the same appointment and the surgery takes about 10 minutes per eye. LASIK is an outpatient procedure that uses local anesthesia in the form of eye drops.

How Quickly Can I Expect Results?

Full recovery and noticeable results can take anywhere from a few days to several weeks. In most cases, patients enjoy 20/20 vision without glasses or contact lenses after their surgery!
