Dr. Parker is a clinical optometrist whose experience and expertise include extensive medical mission work in such far-reaching areas as Kenya, Haiti, and Nigeria.
Dr. Parker graduated from Austin College where he played Varsity football and earned Academic All-Conference honors in the American Southwest Conference.
After completing his Doctorate of Optometry at the University of Houston College of Optometry, Dr. Parker completed his Optometric Residency in Ocular Disease and Cataract Surgery Co-Management at the Eye Center of Texas.
Dr. Parker has spent all of his career in an ophthalmology setting. He is a former Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas. Dr. Parker practiced in his home state of Texas at Victoria Eye Center in 2010 before joining our team at Loden Vision in 2019.
He comes to us with extensive training and experience in ocular disease with an emphasis on glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, cataract, and refractive surgery co-management.
His strong faith led him to become President of the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists at UCHO and the fellowship of Christian Athletes at Austin College. His hobbies include working out, mountain bike riding, playing guitar, and spending time with family.
